An Arts Integration Workshop for Educators (Grades 3-12)

Experience academic writing and prepare your students for Common Core State Standards by drawing upon creative writing activities. The workshop offers experiences that develop engaging voice, logical organization, stimulating ideas, original word choice, and effective sentence style—all of the traits of strong academic writing. Creative writing informs academic writing, and academic writing informs creative writing; the historic separation and difference of the writing types is converging as educators realign their objectives, standards, and practices with Core Curriculum.
