Application Process - IT'S NOT TOO LATE!

 

How does a school make application to Oklahoma A+ Schools

STEP 1

Explore the website www.aplusok.org for information, or attend an Information Meeting (Please call our office for scheduling)

STEP 2

Begin your investigation into what OK A+ Schools can do  for your school by sending the Letter of Intent Form to the A+ office that states your school’s interest and commitment to attend two free professional development meetings called Pre-Institutes.

Upon receipt of your Letter of Intent, a registration form for Pre-Institute 1 will be sent to your school.

STEP 3
 
Send 2 teams to 2 Pre-Institute meetings along with your principal to find out more about what membership in the network means.

 

Pre-Institutes are half-day events, 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM, held on the campus of the Oklahoma School of Science and Mathematics in Oklahoma City. Others are scheduled by request.
 
Pre-Institute 1: choice of dates – December 4, 5, 6 (pick one)
 
Pre-Institute 2: choice of dates – January 29, 30, 31 (pick one)
 

STEP 4

Share information, survey your school staff, and secure a minimum of 85% faculty buy in. (Pre-Institute meetings are designed to assist you in this.)

STEP 5

Complete and submit the application by due date:

  March 7, 2008.
